Terms of use

Effective date: November 05, 2026

1. Provider

The software, the website https://editvio.com and related services (together, the “Service”) are provided by Editvio (“we”, “us”). Contact: the Account page at https://editvio.com.

2. Definitions

• Software: the Editvio video editing application that runs on your Windows computer, including updates.
• Account: an account identified by a phone number or email address, accessed with one-time codes (OTP).
• Plan: the Free plan or a paid plan (Creator, Pro, Studio) with the benefits published on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
• Credits: units used to pay for the platform’s AI features (AI editing, script writing, voice-over, AI images and video…); the amount charged depends on the size of each job.
• Platform AI: AI features that run through our server to an AI provider and are paid with credits.
• Your own AI key: an API key you register with an AI provider yourself and enter into the Software.
• User content: videos, images, audio, music, speech, scripts and any other files you load into or create with the Software.

3. Your account

1. Provide a phone number or email you are entitled to use, and keep your codes and signed-in devices secure. Activity on your account is treated as yours unless you have told us the account was compromised.
2. Each account is for one person or organisation. Accounts may not be sold, rented or shared.
3. If you are under 16, you need consent from a parent or guardian before registering or purchasing.

4. Licence

1. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software for lawful purposes within the scope of your Plan (maximum export resolution, videos per month, logo on videos, batch editing, using your own AI keys…).
2. Device limit: each account may have up to the number of computers allowed by its Plan activated at the same time (currently Free: 1, Creator: 1, Pro: 2, Studio: 5). You can remove old computers yourself on the Account page.
3. Term: monthly and yearly plans last until the expiry date shown in your account and do not renew or charge automatically.
4. Offline use: the Software verifies your licence when online and keeps full Plan features for up to 7 days without a connection; after that it falls back to the Free plan until it reconnects. Your projects and files are never locked.
5. When a paid plan expires your account returns to the Free plan; you can still open your existing projects.

5. Free plan and logo

The Free plan is provided at no charge with limited features. Videos exported on the Free plan carry a Editvio logo. You must not cover, crop, blur or otherwise remove it. We may change Free plan limits at any time.

6. Prices and payment

1. Prices are listed in Vietnamese dong on the pricing and account pages. Prices may change; changes do not affect orders already created or paid.
2. Payment is by bank transfer using a VietQR code. Transfer the exact amount with the exact order code as the transfer note; the system confirms automatically and activates your Plan or adds your credits. If you used the wrong note or amount, contact support with your receipt.
3. We never collect or store your card details or banking passwords.
4. Refunds follow our Refund policy.

7. Credits

1. New accounts receive 100 credits on sign-up. Paid plans include a number of credits every month; monthly plan credits expire at the end of the month and do not roll over.
2. Purchased credits (top-up packs) never expire and work with every Plan, including Free.
3. Monthly plan credits are used first, then purchased credits. The Software shows an estimate before each job; the actual charge follows the real amount processed (tokens, seconds of audio/video, number of images). No credits are charged when the system fails.
4. Credits have no cash value (except for refunds under the Refund policy) and cannot be transferred to another account.

8. AI features

1. On your computer: speech recognition, cutting, image analysis, skin smoothing, stabilisation, editing and export run on your computer; your videos, images and audio are not uploaded to our servers.
2. Platform AI: when you use it, the material that needs processing (e.g. the transcript of your speech, a few sample frames, your script, voice-over text, image/video descriptions) is sent through our server to the AI provider (currently Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), DeepSeek, MiniMax (Hailuo)) and the result is returned to the Software. Our server does not store this content; it only keeps a technical log (task type, model, tokens, cost, credits).
3. Your own AI keys: on Plans that allow it you can enter your own API keys. Keys are stored only on your computer; the Software calls that provider directly, not through our servers, and no credits are used. You pay that provider and follow its terms.
4. AI output (text, voice, images, video) may be inaccurate or unsuitable; review it before publishing. We may apply reasonable limits to prevent abuse and may change AI providers.

9. User content and intellectual property

1. You keep all rights to your user content. We do not store your videos, images or audio.
2. The Software is a tool and does not grant you any rights to other people’s works. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to footage, images, music, fonts, stock clips and the likeness of people in your videos before you publish them or use them commercially, and for following the policies of TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms.
3. Stock footage from third-party services (e.g. Pexels) and AI-generated content are subject to the licences and terms of the respective providers.
4. Do not use AI voices, images or video to impersonate others or to create fraudulent, false or defamatory content.
5. You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from third-party claims caused by your infringement of intellectual property or personality rights while using the Service.

10. Prohibited use

• Cracking, reverse-engineering or modifying the Software; bypassing licensing, device limits, video limits or the logo.
• Reselling, renting or sharing accounts or activations; using someone else’s account.
• Creating or publishing content that violates Vietnamese law (including the Cybersecurity Law) or infringes intellectual property, reputation or privacy rights.
• Automated or abnormal requests, exploiting bugs, attacking or disrupting the Service; using the platform AI for purposes unrelated to making videos, or reselling it.
• Payment fraud or affiliate fraud (self-referrals, fake accounts…).

11. Third-party services

Some features connect to third-party services (AI providers, stock footage libraries, video platforms). Sign-ins and keys for those services are stored on your computer. You must follow their terms; we are not responsible if a platform restricts or removes your content or channel.

12. Updates and changes

We may release updates to fix bugs, improve security or change features. For an active paid plan we will not remove core benefits published at the time of purchase without a reasonable alternative or a pro-rata refund.

13. Suspension and termination

1. You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion under our Privacy policy.
2. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or when required by a competent authority, after notifying you (unless urgent or prohibited by law). Payments are not refunded when an account is terminated for a breach.
3. If we discontinue the Service through no fault of yours, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and refund the unused portion of your plan and the value of unused purchased credits.

14. Our intellectual property

The Software, source code, interface, title templates, caption styles, script formulas, the Editvio trademark and documentation belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you beyond the licence in section 4.

15. Limitation of liability

1. The Service is provided “as is”. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Software stable but do not guarantee it is error-free or suitable for every computer.
2. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, data loss due to lack of backups, lost revenue, or damage resulting from content you publish.
3. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
4. Nothing here excludes or limits consumer rights that cannot be excluded under Vietnam’s Law on Consumer Rights Protection and other applicable law.

16. Affiliate program

The affiliate (referral) program has its own rules shown on the affiliate page. Commissions on refunded orders are reversed.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Disputes will first be resolved through negotiation and mediation; failing that, either party may bring the matter before a competent People’s Court in Vietnam. You may also file complaints with the consumer protection authority.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the new version is posted here with its effective date. For material changes we will notify you in the Software or by email/phone at least 7 days in advance. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the new version.
